STEVE DEL CARDAYRE

Steve is a biochemist and industrial biotechnologist with a passion for tackling pressing real-world problems who joined Switch as CTO in 2025. He was previously co-founder and CTO of Zero Acre Farms and before that co-founder and CTO of LS9, which was acquired by the Renewable Energy Group (NASDAQ: REGI) where he was VP of R&D for several years. Prior to this, Steve worked at Codexis and Maxigen. He has a B.S. in Biology from Berkely, PhD in Biochemistry from University of Wisconsin-Madison, and a Postdoc from UBC.
